OUR STORY
A VISION REALIZED
Founded in 2019 by Dasun Wijesinghe, The Walk Academy was built to raise the standard of modelling education in Sri Lanka — with professional training, honest guidance, and a clear path for new talent.
What started as focused classes in Colombo has grown into a trusted academy for aspiring models across the island, helping students build confidence, technique, and the discipline the industry expects.
We do not only teach poses and runway walks. We prepare Sri Lankan talent to show up prepared, professional, and ready for real opportunities at home.

FROM OUR FOUNDER
When I founded The Walk Academy in 2019, my goal was simple: give aspiring models in Sri Lanka structured training, real industry insight, and the confidence to pursue work here at home.
Too many talented people were learning in fragments — without mentorship, without standards, and without a clear path forward. I wanted a place where discipline, professionalism, and creativity are taught together.
The Walk Academy is that place. We focus on runway technique, portfolio development, and the everyday habits that help students stand out in castings and client projects across Sri Lanka.
Every cohort reminds me why we started: Sri Lankan talent deserves an academy that takes their ambition seriously.
